Welcome to Flint River Iris Society of Georgia

 Iris Lovers, join us to learn more about the growing and care of Irises.  Share your experiences and the joy of irises.  


The Flint River Iris Society is a non profit organization dedicated to irises, the "flowers of the rainbow,"  We are part of Region 5 of the American Iris Society. We meet eight months of the year to learn more about irises and are involved in many community projects such as: ​


  • supporting the UGA Research and Education Garden;  
  • maintaining the Iris beds at the Garden
  • participating  in Garden events such as Scarecrows in the Garden;
  • sponsoring an Iris Show each April;
  • helping with beautification of Griffin, the Iris City of Georgia;
  • selling Irises at the Farmer's Market during the summer months.​
